It seems like a tip much more helpful for someone who wants to make a game, but has no idea what game they want to make. Thus, they resort to starting with finding a good name for a video game, and working backwards from that to flesh out the entire design/implementation for a really cool game that fits that name.
The final categories for the latest SW jam feel like real duds to me. If I have too hard a time thinking of something based on the category picked, I will probably go with this approach instead.
