hellol there
Long fucking time
Googling GW-ism brought me back to this place.
For those who don't know me, I am Rave/Shepperd, I used to go to GW since 2003/04.
I left pretty much after the sad event of 2008.
Also because Facebook and university took my life.
But it's 2012 now and even though I hardly think of GW nowadays, there are many things that has impacted me and has remained in my subconscious.
So on one hand I want to say hi to all and see how many people of the older days are still here, what they have been up to lately..
And for topic's sake, let's make it about how so many years of GW has impacted on your life.
For me, Targ, and phrases like asdoaina, bouheauhea, beah beah, fgono, faggit.. they all still kinda stuck with me.
I have good memories of GW humour, the joning, the bizarre characters, like Barkley or Foget..
Stupid prefix and his <3
Diggity Dawg's poem Repoed and targography. (Is Diggity Dawg around?)
I'll keep thinking of more..

but these are my favorite shepperd memories:
returning for a few days and admonishing GW for not being interested in sport
something about getting hit on the head by a book of Camus when you were 12
lately there have been a couple discussions about how much GW has impacted our lives. I think the funny people who I barely ever interacted with shaped mine the most growing up, and whatever this is has been pretty good for me as an adult.

I can't hear someone say frank zappa without remembering shepperd (sorry kaworu). oh, and the flaming lips and basquiat
Same here man same here. In fact I saw a mural at a bar on Friday with a picture of Frank Zappa and immediately thought of Sheppard. It's weird.
But it's 2012 now and even though I hardly think of GW nowadays, there are many things that has impacted me and has remained in my subconscious.
I think this is the same with most of us. I don't game at all, but GW is special #thugtear
Also I still have a strange nostaglic hope that Dada will complete the difficult task of fixing gw and we will return to our glory days. It's weird....

Fuck yeah, sup Shaved Rabbit.im dietcoke/wet blanket
You introduced me to Modest Mouse, and I think you're big fan of the Jesus Lizard (saw Scratch Acid this year).
I'm pretty certain you introduced me to something else too but cannot remember now.
Some may know that I'm Real life best friends with GaZZwa (who was among the oldest in GW, like Faust). In 2010 I also became real life friends with another ex-GW-goer, called Im_so_tired.
Funny people associate me with Zappa. I still have a poster of the guy, but I don't listen to him as much (because I forget).
Also Dad, as far as I know Dada is Omeg. Probably you are Drule. Wild guess.

Basquiat still my master though

I should also do an Ode to Hundley, for recommending me Schizopolis. Best darn movie I've ever seen. Changed my life (or rather justified it).

Diggity quit GW after Impeal decided to lock a cool topic of his that he spent some effort into making because NOT FUNNY TO ME. This is after he'd been systematically PURGING the targers. And as the years went by I believe he just kind of moved on to other, non-internet things.
