i'm tryin to get out of an uncreative rut by pulling up my bootstraps and giving my best shot at a Real, True Game. it's in Game Maker and the graphics are primarily stolen and edited NES tiles. there are a lot of directions it could go atm but i'm thinking a pretty gentle dungeon exploration/Adventures of Lolo/secret finding simulator/Zeldalike/Space Funeral-aesthetic-cribbin' thing....... or somethin' else, who could ever tell??.......... ∩(︶▽︶)∩

 

 

anyway holler at me if you got a tip, or even if you don't!!

My favorite thing about  Bubble Bobble is the many fun tasty treats n' treasures that make up game's pick-em-ups.  If you gonna rip something for reward items/bullshit collectibles (or... traps?!), you could do a lot worse than that!

this looks terrific!! genuinely.. completely in awe of the colours and like lillith said the spooky mysterious feel of it.

 

it reminds me of something earlchip (i think) was working on a while back..
