first time hearing full vsnares track and i think full-song context makes it better. it's solid but it's really not anything he hasn't done before

yeah I'm kind of disappointed too. supposedly people who actually order the album get SECOND BONUS CDR. Hopefully it's something to do with this (most likely a full-length followup to Cubist Reggae)
sorry if I posted this already, can't remember
nod towards the camera is very dumbtopic

also spiritualized? what is there to like in their music?
I like the original song and the vocals, frankly. The rest of the album is fairly forgettable.

I got introduced into the "trap" scene last year, and it's just taking over what "dubstep" was when it was popular or whatever.
But anyways, terrible music, always focused around the "drops" like in dubstep. Really boring and creatively bankrupt.
Anyways, as it evolved, there's some offshoots I'm super into.
Dimond Saints is one of my favorite artists right now. I saw them at Emissions Festival last month and they CRUSHED IT.

I'd be super honored if y'all gave this song a listen if you felt like it. It's nice stuff.
This song is really great as well, really hard to pick just one of these to share (not that there's a limit), so I gotta share another specific song:

Those are soundclouds because that's what I'm primarily using these days, but in the interest of giving you the ability to just hit play:
i'm a robot is what the deal is

@Ryantheboy
- I sort of like Boris. Like, I like half of Pink, especially the last track on the album (I just abandonded myself), but then half the time its just guitar whale noises to me. Maybe I just need to listen to it while smoking some pot or something

it's definitely interesting but at times the mastering makes it sound weird and not afx

hmm maybe and i'll listen to it again on a better sound system later ; i saw boris live like 6 years ago and i don't think they played a single song during the show i'm pretty sure the one guy just played about 5 guitar chords and let it feedback for about half an hour

While I would say being inebriated would help I think it would help with every track in this topic. Nonetheless, I tend to agree; a lot of the noise isn't super 'listenable' but it is an album you can leave on to forget troubles to while your brain invents new ones to the pseudo-rhythm.
This album just came out for any post-punk fans...
...I dig their prior entry, Light Up Gold, a tad more however. It is just a touch more raw.
And something completely different. These are local boys and I am pretty sure they will be larger soon, for better or worse.
And one more while I am on a kick.

Which I'm totally down with, although I'd rather have a noisy album that is also "listenable" (eg MBV) for that sort of thing.
I'm at work so i can't watch videos but I'm intrigued by a few of these and will do so.

I was going to see these guys last night, but my scheduled got messed around so i ended up visiting a friend instead. I looked up the setlist from last night, which was just this entire album. I'm pretty dissapointed I didn't go. album of the year of 2013 - not even kidding dudes
post-metal/shoegazey/black metal combo. Pretty cool"

it seems like any amount of 80s jpop is an obscene amount?

i heard the original orchestral version, then the tom waits one, but this is probably the saltiest rendition of the song.
Posted 27 June 2014 - 05:53 AM
jesus, i've probably posted NEZHNOE ETO here before but i can't stop obsessing over this song. for years now. she's a lady musician (or possibly a whole band? not sure) from russia that like no one talks about, even in russia, and they make blip bloppy quasi summer synth pop. but this one song, BUDUSCHYEE PREKRASNA/The Future is Wonderful, is really fucked up underneath its silly and surreal surface mood!!!! there's a fucked flash video that goes with it. the real flash version has english subtitles but i couldn't find it. if you do find the flash of the song it's cool, lots of things in the video change a bit each time you watch it.
