Tokyo-based streetwear imprint Magic Stick has officially revealed its next 'VIP' collaboration with Nike.A followup to the white high-top Nike Air Force 1 that dropped back in February, the new colab once again comes in the form of an AF1 high-top, but switches up the construction of the design. Instead of the leather that appeared on the original pair, the new drop makes use of black velour construction throughout. Details from the OG do remain, however, including the signature VIP wristband-inspired ankle strap and 3M reflective piping throughout the upper.
In a fitting entry to the classic Air Max 97, the Beaverton brand dons its bullet train inspired upper with a tonal brown they dub Nike Air Max 97 Dark Russet. Whether its the similarly named potato variety or the crisp outside of a turkey dinner, the holiday colorway is a complete tonal take that glitters under the bright lights. Mixed materials play a huge role along the layered upper, blending suede, leather, and mesh next to the standard swoosh embroideries.
Nike are continuing their Safari tour of Africa, trailing their ‘Croc’ and ‘Zebra’ Nike Air VaporMax with an elegant ‘Leopard’ option. This pair creeps out from the underbrush with an ochre hue that turns to orange on the outsole and heel collar. The heel is then peppered with leopard spots that complement the black Swoosh.
