This movie just got into Thailand yesterday, and I just saw it today. Oh my frickin' God. I love this movie.

Seriously, from the beginning to the end, everything was just amazing. Especially the visual art...God, the plum tree scene was just pure beautiful @_@  What wow me the most was all the action scenes. They were all so tense, if not silly at times. My only complaint is that some part of the story I found it to be too heavy for kids, but maybe that's just me being old.  Anyway, I'm so going to get the art book of this movie. They're just pure awesomeness both 2d/3d.

Spoiler

So anybody got to see this movie yet?  If not, are you going to? What are your thoughts?  :)

P.S. The next Hello Panda will be beat'em-up Kung Fu-ish now. Hiyaaaaa!

I am usually not into talking animal movies, but this was possibly the only movie I've enjoyed this year aside from Iron Man.

This might be the first animated movie I'll see in the theatre. I wasn't that interested in it until I saw this clip on Jay Leno with Dustin Hoffman and his Yoda like panda... or whatever he was. It looked and was hilarious.

The Pandaren Brewmaster scene in the intro was pretty cool.. but I didn't watch anything passed it because I am boycotting animated feature films that are 3D.

Well I think this one just has to be 3D though. 2D would take forever to do with all those Kung Fu action scene :(

I saw this movie a few days back and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard it was good, yea, but I didn't think it would quite as good as it actually was. There's plenty of humor that even the older crowd can laugh at the kung fu scenes really are well done. I was bummed that it seemed a little short, but this is essentially a kid's movie, so whatever I suppose. Also, the ending is fantastic.

Skidoosh.

I just finished watching it online. It waspretty good, but yea other characters weren't fetured much, and their voice actors were famous like Jackie chan for that monkey, who said maybe just about 7lines..

My thought exactly. I didn't know the other voice actors except Jack Black. And when I found out about that after I watch the movie, it seems like a waste of money to me to use such famous actors/actresses for that number of lines.  I mean...Lucy Liu and Angelina Jolie for Viper and Tigress!?  Tigress get to say a lot but Viper....*sigh*

Well, I hope they will feature the same group of voice actors in the sequel though.

It totally was....too much "awesomeness" lol. It's too bad that dreamwork won't make any 2d full-length animation anymore :(

There have been ads for this movie for about a year and a half in our cinemas that are FUCKING ANNOYING and they show them at EVERY SINGLE CINEMA SCREENING so considering I go once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, I have seen the same ad at least fifty times, and jesus christ is it annoying. It's bad the first time, but fifty more after that, arghhhhh

So my interest at the movie is pretty close to zero. I'm hearing a LOT of good stuff, though, so I'll probably go see it sometime when it comes out and judge it then.

Probably because they don't think people would be rich enough to go to the theater every week or more.

I'm waiting to see this movie. I think it's out here already, but IDK. gotta check  :fogetbackflip:

I just got back from the movies after seeing this and, I felt pretty awesome after seeing it. It was actually alot of better than I thought it would be, and the fight scenes were pretty awesome, especially the one

They were thinking pretty creatively when they were doing the fight scenes, more so than I would of expected, seeing as how so many movies seem utterly uncreative, even when animated. The

All in all, I'd give it a 4.5/5 Jacksons. The art direction was great, the CG was gorgeous, the voices(Most notably Jack Black's) were very convincing, and the writting was pretty good too. Aside from the things I pointed out, I would of given it a 5.

The cinemas are not expensive around here, dude.

EDIT: Not that I'm trying to go HEH... YOU POOR BASTARD, but yeah. I'm not sure how expensive they are in America or wherever it is you're from, Aten (I seem to recall everything being ridiculously over-priced where you're from though), but it costs no more than 10 bucks a week usually for me to go to the cinema, which is doable even on a job like a checkout chick or grocery bagger or w/e. That's just my experience though, I'm sure there are many other contexts!

Naw, I thought YOU guys had expensive $15 tickets. Over here an adult ticket is like $5 or $3 for kids. So even I could go every week, but, you know, what do you go every week to see? Watch every movie thats showing?

Pretty much. Anything new that comes out and looks like a decent enough way to waste time.
