GAZA CITY (CNN) -- Israeli airstrikes pounded targets in Gaza on Saturday, killing at least 170 people, Palestinian medical sources said. An Israeli army spokeswoman said her country is ready to continue the attacks "as long as it takes." Palestinian medical sources said 110 people were hospitalized in Gaza in serious to critical condition. Earlier Saturday, the sources said at least 250 people had been wounded in the raids.

The militant group Hamas, which controls the government in Gaza, vowed to retaliate.

The strikes followed several days of rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel.

I would like to see how many of the people in any way related to the rocket attacks against Israel were the ones killed by Israeli bombers. Like, a percentage of people involed to people killed. I bet it's below 20%!

i have no idea how western opinion has been able to maintain pro-israel at all. like is the american public THIS FUCKING UNAWARE? they're consistently aggressive and self-interested, and not just in regards to the palestinians either. since the national jewish fund declared palestine the jews' promised land in the late 20s (or 30s? im a little rusty) they've had border disputes with many countrys in which they were consistantly and obviously in the wrong. honestly sometimes i think america is only so interested in them because they share the type of backwards, imperialistic foreign policy that we do.

Come on man, do you really have any reason to expect that people in the United States are aware of any matter such as this?  We are an imperialistic nation that officially supplements any other imperialistic endeavor that could potentially further our own agenda.  The only time Israel is mentioned over here is in fucking Sunday school.

Also this week Pakistan has been moving troops on its eastern border with India, meanwhile FOX News warns everyone in suburban America to hide under the kitchen table and gently tuck their heads into their own assholes in the event that shit goes south.  Right now it looks like the situation is going to be resolved via diplomacy, but there have been fuckers all over the television today with a hardon for the idea of a "nuclear exchange" or possibly watching the fragile Pakistani government collapse.

Ya know, it's not pro israel or anything it's more like anti-terrorist.  There are extremist groups on both sides, the problem is that those extremist groups are able to sway the majority of the others into hating eachother.  There's people on both sides that have been affected by bombings etc.  everytime someones relative gets nailed, theres more of a chance their join some extremist groups.  it just keeps perpetuating.  it's that culture of honor they have to maintain.  It just so happens that the palestinian extremist groups want "death to america" so of course many people are going to take a pro israeli approach.  it's not really ignorance, it's the patriotic terror condition americans have come to know.  you can call that ignorance, but ignorance is a choice, many americans do not have a choice. 

but it does suck to see this keep going on, especially since so many poeple, even over in israel and gaza, want this shit to stop.

Anyway, that kind of topic always ends badly cause on one side you got people like Doc who will say "Fuck them Jews" and on the other you'll get people saying "Fuck them Arabs".
