this is middle school shit
last time this topic came around it was a 50/50 split and one of the people fervently arguing the wrong side is at Harvard now on a scholarship. there's something MORE to this than math and I hope this poll helps figure out what it is.

it shows you order of operations pretty explicitly. the negative is outside, meaning its multiplication, meaning you do the exponent first.
