Pretty much all of that I agree with but I don't know if there's anything so wrong with finding that staring off into the horizon stuff appealing, really. Cos what makes RPGs so awful isn't that, it's all the peripheral garbage along with pathetically written plots. At it's core a story about travelling around the world isn't so awful and that's what I always liked to do in those games, go from town to town. I never really cared what the stories were, whenever I was gonna buy one of those games I would look it up on the internet to check how many towns there were in it, if there was a world map, stuff like that.

yeah video games for me have always really been about the setting! it's kindof weird but i think part of the reason it takes me forever to beat a game is because i usually spend tons of time just LOOKING at stuff and running around.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

*Pictures Nobuo Uematsu music in a porno* ok... whoa that's a freakin' epic porno. It's time for the money shot *cue dramatic choir*

I was thinking like airship music

uh yeah even though I think part of it is just memories he was definitely the most talented guy at Squaresoft seriously what is left after that maybe the graphics are decent but ff never had good story character design or SCENARIO whatever that is

and yeah why doesn't this guy move on to movies or something

it's still kind of interesting hearing some of this stuff played by an orchestra like I did that a lot for the Dragon Quest music, like on an NES it sounded so fucking abstract like it's barely even music but then the orchestrated version makes a lot of sense

Apparently the anime he's doing music for, Guin Saga, is based on a series of fantasy novels which began in the 70's and still going. I heard it inspired a lot of Japanese fantasy works, Berserk being one. Yoshitaka Amano even did some of the covers for the series.

Guin Saga just sounded like EXCEL SAGA at first glance

that first picture reminds me of Lynx from Chrono Cross except he's a... cheetah I guess

It's more like some old Samurai Movie. It reminds me of this one indie animated movie that had this walking talking tiger or something that goes around killing people.

That's about the entire premises, it seems.
