May I suggest you try one of the areas along the eastern coast (closer to the north)? There's swathes of them there pre-infection and you can usually get hundreds of kills with a single drive down the pavement.

I've played three hours of it, and it has been so much fun. I've never seen such consistent carnage. Chopping people apart is pretty brutal.

Throwing people is so much fun. I love grabbing someone, climbing up really high, throwing them, and then looking for the body. I don't think it's ever going to get old.

The most amazing thing about the game is the framerate. It never drops. No matter how much is going on screen, it runs so smoothly.

Yeah this was kinda fun until I finished the story and then it's kinda just like "now what??". I dunno it was very fun while it lasted, but I can't see myself keeping up with this especially long.

Also what's this about the story being great? It was alright, probably a tiny touch above average at best. The general idea was alright, but the delivery, fuck me, was astoundingly bad. The pre-mission cutscenes were appalling, Alex Mercer's character is about as charismatic as a fucking leg of ham. It would start with Dana/Karen/that Doctor guy/whoever the shit else you team up with talking for 30 seconds and then Alex would be like "<shitty one liner that seems like the start of a sentence but nope IT'S A WHOLE SENTENCE> *quick fade-out*". I don't know I guess I was just disappointed at Mercer's shitty development. God knows you got more development out of the whole five-ten minutes those DAY 18 cutscenes took up than the rest of the game.

It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but god damn it they need to tighten up their writers for the inevitable sequel/prequel. Plus the fun of RUNNING AROUND THE CITY BLOWIN' UP SHIT is kinda negated when you've finished the main storyline and know the threat's all over and done with.

On a positive note, the Web of Intrigue clips are fantastically done and very professional.

It's not necessarily that the storyline involving Alex is excellently pulled off imo. I think the storyline is excellent because of the combination of all of the different points, the virus, Blackwatch, Alex, everything. Yes Alex is a pretty shitty character in terms of charisma and PERSONALITY but I'm not sure you can give him shit for that considering (MAJOR SPOILER COMING)

My rental place finally had a copy in stock so I rented and beat this over the weekend. As short as it was, I'm glad I did it as a rental, but I had a lot of fun with it. With any game where I can have an idea pop into my head for a way to solve something that seems impossible and then discover that not only did the developers make it possible, but that it works more or less like I'd predicted, I am very happy. During a certain boss fight I got creamed a couple of times until I thought "You know, if this were a movie/comic/etc the hero would have to do something really stupid and self sacrificing during this fight..." so I started climbing up to the top of the nearby buildings and then diving down, following my huge arm blade or air to ground devastators.

I like it when games are able to capture the perfect essence of the character you're playing. It was like in Far Cry where I fought a bunch of the huge tri-gens with nothing but Feral Attack/Rush because I realized I could kill them without firing a shot. This game kept Alex "in character" for almost the entire length.

So yeah, I enjoyed this game a lot. The writing could have been better, and was about as predictable as it could get. It felt, at times, like every developer geeked out on one subject and then put it in the game. Military Hardware, various super heroes, Dead Rising, and I am Legend (both versions, since the viral beings can consume others somewhat in the vampire mold). I also thought it was "clever" of the developers to call Alex's maneuvering parkour so as to differentiate it from Altair's free running.

The story wasn't that great, but I thought the execution was pretty good. Finding out details by taking the memories of people was a really cool idea. The clips when you did this were really well-made.

But the gameplay was so awesome. It got a little too much at times, because precise movement just isn't really an option. There were only a few points in the game where it got too cluttered in a small area. The outdoors is where this game needs to take place.

Yeah though, being able to come up with an idea and then actually doing it was the best part of the game.

Alex Mercer is one of the most powerful game protagonists of all time.

man i think the gameplay of this game is not soo good ...but the graphics is ultimate... and the action seqences,controls are all absolutely a gold ..... keep posting...thanks for all the information...
