Hey guys

In my psych class we recently took a test, which I got a 75% for. When she went over it however, I noticed one of my wrong answers was a true or false, that didn't quite make sense. True or false, "Narcotics lead directly to addiction." I wrote that it was false, which was incorrect. This is obviously not true, as you don't become addicted directly after taking one narcotic, right? The reason I come to you all is to ask how I can disprove this clearly and in short, as it clearly isn't that simple to obtain an addiction.

Well you don't necessarily get addicted to oxycontin or vicodin after you take one for the first time, correct?

Also Frackenstein, it wasn't a question, it was a statement. A true or false statement.

If it's not addiction. Then Narcotics lead to what?

Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live.

sounds like you don't understand the philosophy of causality. car accidents lead directly to deaths. exposure to the flu leads directly to flu contraction.

edit: psych student here you go

hopefully it's got all the pages

that's an awful question. narcotics don't lead anywhere unless someone left a trail of them on the way to the slums. TAKING narcotics can lead to addiction, but not necessarily. ABUSING narcotics, that leads directly to addiction. she probably feels like she can get away with incompetence and laziness, reveling in her status as an adult ruling over powerless children. tell me what school you go to and I'll handle this for you, maybe even get her fired for being such a neglectful teacher!

It would help if the sentence were more complete. Anyone who puts a statement like that on a paper deserves a slap in the face. But that's just me.

In any case you're wrong. She meant that if you use narcotics it'll directly lead to addiction. Granted it was poorly worded, but it doesn't mean you deserve marks for it since you should have been able to catch that anyway.

Vengeance is a sweet sweet sweet SWEET way to express emotion, it does however require an ounce of imagination and/or creativity thus making this topic rather pointless. This post was the weirdest thing I have ever worded here, or so I feel for some reason

Go up to the chalkboard in the middle of one of her lectures and draw a big anarchist symbol. Then break the chalk and say "like what you see, cunt?". Next walk up to her really intimidatingly and draw your fist back like you're about to punch her. For added effect, draw letters on your fingers. If you can, try to fit "I hate school", "teachers suck", "If you can read this, you're a teacher", or something else to that effect on your hand. Throw your fist at her face and stop two centimeters from her nose. Then crack your knuckles as loudly as possible so everyone in the room can hear it. For the next part, you've got to be wearing a trench coat. Try to position yourself so your back is toward both your teacher and the class. Then relax your shoulders so the trench coat falls to the ground, revealing a big anarchist symbol with the phrase "teachers are cowards" underneath it. Next, spin around to face the class, pull out a cigarette, and light it but try not to make the fire alarm go off. If you have one, use an e-cigarette instead. Take a puff and say "Pop quiz, teach. True or false, narcotics use leads to addiction." If she says true, look at the class really smugly and say "Heh, only for neurotypical shitstains." Then walk back to her desk, put the cigarette out on the teacher's edition of the class textbook and walk towards the door. Open the door, take one step forward and then look back over your shoulder. Hold up both of your middle fingers and say "teachers are bullshit and I hate homework. Oh, and in case you didn't get the message, I'm an anarchist." Then walk out the door.
